Pastor Middleton

Pastor Joe Louis Middleton comes from a long line of rich Pentecostal heritage. Born seventh of seven children, he was groomed in the way of holiness by parents who loved God and lived a life of Holiness before him.

While serving as an ordained Elder of Bethesda Temple Church, Elder Middleton served God’s people under the leadership of its illustrative pastor of fifty-three years, Bishop James A. Johnson, whom he also serves as an “armor bearer”.

Elder Middleton was active in various ministries, while attending Bethesda Temple Church. Some of these ministries included Director of Christian Education, Sunday Teacher, Chaplin of the Ministerial Alliance, Coordinator of the Holy Ghost Receiving and Chairman of Bethesda Temple’s Bible Institute.

Elder Middleton earned a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Dallas and is currently employed at Imagistics International, Incorporated. He is the father of four children and married to Sister Doris Lee Middleton.

Pastor Middleton received the Holy Ghost in March, 1970, while serving his country as a Captain in the Armed Forces. Upon experiencing the life changing power of God’s spirit, the Lord called him to preach the Gospel later that same year.

He believes in the absolute power of the Word of God, the saving work of the Holy Spirit, the sovereign authority of Jesus’ name and the great catching away of the Saints. To this end, he preaches the Word of God with anointing and passion.
